So I've noticed that over the last few years with the introduction the internet, cell phones, and facebook, that people don't talk to each other anymore. You find more people out in public texting then you do talking. Have you noticed this? It's crazy, I've even seen people sitting across from each other at a table texting each other. What the hell man?
I remember the time before cell phones you used to go over to your friends place and actually have a conversation with each other. Now we're too busy we just text, or facebook chat. It's understandable if you're talking to someone across the country, or even across the city, that's acceptable. But when you need to get a hold of someone and you text them instead of call them, that to me makes no sense. Why does this happen? I think that society as a whole has become anti social, now of course there's exceptions. Some of us, like me, like to engage people in face to face conversation. I enjoy it because you can study body language, facial expressions, sarcasm, it's important. Too many times I've been in a situation where I send a girlfriend a text and she turns it around into something completely different, it's happened to all of us. You can't get the subtleties of speech through text, you just can't. What I'm trying to say is get out there and converse with people, strike up a conversation with a complete stranger. It's fun sometimes, sometimes it's shocking, sometimes is surprising. You'd be amazed at what can happen if you just ask a simple question.
